About

Unconscious Correspondences is the blog of Keegan J. L. Kjeldsen. While I've written on various platforms over the years, I've always withheld a few things because I felt they were too important to publish on a social media site (like, for example, reddit). Nevertheless, some of the stuff I write in that category is not something one would publish in a traditional manner. Most of it is too long for somewhere like medium or substack. I'm also fine with making it free, because the world needs free writing.

Since 2012, I've toured the country with Destroyer of Light, a doom metal band. Coronavirus put a stop to that in 2020, but things may be moving soon in the music world. The future is uncertain.

I'm interested in the 1960's, particularly in the Twilight Zone (1959), Star Trek (1966), and the western genre. The peak of American cinema was in the 1980's and 1990's - The Golden and Silver Ages of film. I think current culture is frozen and pathological, and that we've all become lost in a fake reality.

The name of the blog is the same as the name of my book, Unconscious Correspondences. You can find a link to the free pdf in the sidebar. It is a meandering philosophical exploration of a series of disconnected concepts, stories and people, but with a common theme of examining the role of duality in human thinking.

I also write on medium: https://untimelyreflections.medium.com/
